Family Gathering Without Megan

megan walked into the house. it was rather empty. yeah most probably Colin was at the family gathering at his country club. well, at least the fight between them is over. maybe what Zoe said was right. she should be understanding and sweet and make Colin understand and realise what a wonman she was. someone who is not insecure, over senisitve and always giving him the freedom to do what he wants. yeah, she should be more like that and he'd appreciate her more.

hmm... maybe she could do more and go surprise him. yeah. she knew where his country club was. she should go down and say hi. yeah. Megan smiled to herself and headed out to her car.

at the club...
the three tired souls slumped themselves at the lounge. after a tiring soccer game which they had so much fun. colby was seated on colin's lap and leaning on his strong body. shayna was ust too tired to move from the comfortable lounge chair as she hugged the soccer ball in her hands and continued panting.
"That was fun," colby said, smiling to colin. "can we do that again someday?"
colin forced a smile even though he was dead tired. he wondered where all his energy and stamina went to. "yeahof course buddy. you know you are always top of my list."
colby hugged his older brother tight as colin pinched his nose gently.

shayna watched as the 2 brothers bonded. she smiled. in her whole life she wanted a sibling to love and adore. just like how colin adores his younger brother. well, at least she was going to be a social worker soon and then she would have all the children she wants to love and dote on. yeah, this is what she wants in her life. to love and somehow to be loved.
"hey... are you with us? earth to shayna.. earth to shayna..." colin joked, cliking his fingers, trying to wake shayna out of her thoughts.
"yeah?" shayna asked, finally coming back to reality. colby just sat there and laughed. he looked so cute cupping his hands to his lips and laughing in that lighthearted giggle.
"would you like to join me at the driving range? you know, hit some balls... release stress..." colin asked.
shayna hesitated as colby interrupted in. "hey i wanna come too!!!"
"no you can't. you know kids are not allowed up there. in fact you are tired. you should rest."
"but i'm not!! I want to come please?" colby whined.
"no. listen to kor. you need to rest to get better. if not mom and dad will never allow you to play soccer again."
"oh alright. but you must promise that i can get to play soccer again." they laugh as colin diverted his attention back to shayna.

"so are you gamed?"
shayna smiled and finally agreed. anyway, they are friends and bygones should be bygones. colin's face lit up.
"great! let's go put colin back up there be on our way!"
