Body To Body

colin sat down and flicked on the television. he was beginning to doubt is shayna was ever going to make it. maybe she was just trying to make him feel good about himself by telling him all those stuff. he looked at all this planning... the flowers, the chocolates... it has all gone to waste.

about twenty minutes after the appointed meeting time, colin decided it was time to give up. he didn't have much patience.
she could have at least called. he said to himself.
suddenly there was a knock on the door. colin trudged slowly towards it. maybe it was the concierge bringing colin his daily mail and phone calls from back home. this wasn't really a holiday for him either. his father had been hounding him to close a deal back home and according to his secretary, everything back in the oddice was in a whirl.
he opened the door lazily and there she was, standing in her cute pink tee and dirty blue jeans. she had her hands tucked into her pockets and smiled lazily at him. She looked so adorable and attractive. Shayna always had that appealing factor to Colin. Somehow he never got sick of just looking at her. It always made him smile when he saw her.
"sorry i'm late. my mother wanted to have a chat with me and..." she tried to explain.
"it's alright. the most important thing is that you are here," colin said and ushered her into the room. she stepped in cautiously and examined the room. colin still remembered the ways she liked to look at details.
"it's nice..." she finally said.
"yeah. one of the best suites here," colin said as he lifted up an bottle of wine to her, "can you take alcohol?"
shayna nodded, "just a little will do just fine."

colin brought over the glasses and sat down beside her on the bed. he had never felt so nervous with her all his life. somehow it felt as though he was falling in love with her all over again.
"so where did you go today?" colin asked.
shayna smiled and narrated to him every single place she brought her parents. the thigns they did and how she loved spending time with her family but everytime timothy's name was mentioned, she noticed colin cringing a little but he still remained very tactful by listening.
"i'm sorry. i shouldn't have said so much," shayna apologised, "i guess you don't really like me talking about timmy."

colin shrugged, "i guess he's still the one you chose."
shayna looked at colin's dejected look, "but he is a stable guy. someone i can depend on..."
"... and i'm not?"
shayna bit her lower lip and was hesitant to be honest. colin then took a big gulp from his glass. he couldn't take rejection... not from shayna.
they went silent for awhile. shayna then took a sip from her wine... but soon after that, they started to drink more and more.
both of them started to talk funny.

"why didn't you send me off that day? didn't you read my letter? wasn't i clear about my feelings to you?" shayna asked, she was a little tipsy on the wine. by now she had taken six glasses.
colin edge a little closer to her and looked into her eyes. she was upset, he knew. he had to be honest with her.
"i did go to the airport but i was a little too late."
shayna snorted, "you are always late for the most important things in life. i hate you." shayna took another gulp of her seventh glass of wine.

"hey! you're the one who left without telling me! how was i suppose to know you and all-stable timothy would go so soon?!"
"me go so soon?! you don't know how much you meant to me and you just think i'll sit here and wait for you?" shayna got angry and downed another glass. this was getting dangerous. shayna never drank so much in her life and she is starting to see everything go in circles.
"fine! you want me to act on it! i'll show you acting on it!" colin said.
he leaned forward and kissed shayna, making her fall back and lie on the bed where they were sitting. shayna was a little taken aback but she was too tipsy to retaliate. all she wanted was to surrender to him.

colin kissed her more passionately as each minute passed. shayna could feel his hands manouvering to places that she had never allowed him to touch before but she was too weak to push him away. she found herself enjoying his kisses more than she expected. finally she allowed him to take her pink top off.
colin stopped kissing her and pulled away to take a look at her.
"you look so beautiful. why did i ever let you go?"
"because you were a stupid fool," she said, pulling him back for a kiss. he allowed her to take his top of to reveal his well toned body. shayna felt her fingers tingle as they touched against his abs.

after some time, they found themselves naked underneath the soft bedsheets. they hadn't kissed as much and felt as much of each other's body. the wine sure did its work. after making out and making love and resting until four in the morning, shayna leant her head on colin's chest as he stroked her hair.
"i can't believe we did it," she finally said. it was her first sentence said while she was sane.
"but we did."
"i hate you for saying that! you know i'm attached... you knew..."
"you weren't complaining until now. sheesh shayna. not everything is my fault. you think you're so perfect but you're not! the biggest mistake you have done was to say yes to that... that guy, timothy! why didn't you think for a moment that i had feelings too?" colin was angry but he was angry because he loved her.
shayna started to sob. she never realised colin cared for her that much.

colin hushed shayna and kissed her softly on the lips.
"i'm sorry baby. i shouldn't have said anything. i was just pissed... because i cared," colin apologised.
shayna nodded and cuddled back with him. for once she just wanted to stay in his arms, underneath the sheets, body to body and jut say nothing at all.

"what time is it?" shayna asked.
colin checked his watch beside his bed, "five in the morning."
shayna sat up and gasped, "what?! i thought it was just bearly two!"
"you have someplace to be?" colin asked.
shayna jumped off the bed and started to wear her clothes. "i'm supposed to be back at timothy's place! he doesn't know i went out!"

"just stay shayna. please. it's too late to change anything now!"
"i have to go," she said and kissed colin one last time before rushing out the door.
colin just watched the door swing back to close.
