Perfect Way To Fall In & Out Of Love

timothy drove her to the beach. it was the perfect evening to catch the sunset. timothy parked right where the breakwaters were.
"want to go up there?" timothy asked shayna, pointing to the breakwater.
"not really," shayna spat.
"come on. let's go see the sunset!" timothy said, getting out of the driver's seat and opening the door for shayna.
"i don't want to go," shayna said. timothy sighed as he pulled her out of the seat. he pulled her up to the breakwater.
"stop it timmy! stop!" shayna said, loosening the grip that timothy had on her arm. she soothed it with her other hand.
"sorry. did i hurt you?" timothy asked, inspecting her arm.
"why did you bring me here?"
"to vent your problems. just scream like this.. aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" timothy shouted towards the sea.
"that's old." shayna complained.
"try it." shayna didn't really believe him but since he made the effort to bring her here, she should be a little appreciative. so she screamed. and she did feel a little better. she started to smile and it sure was warmer than the setting sun.

"you're really funny lila," colin commented, sipping on his drink.
"well, it's all in the genes," lila smirked.
"how's the place?" colin asked.
"it has a great atmosphere for a drink and with you as great company, what can be bad?"
"thanks lila. i needed that ego boost," colin laughed. they were having drinks at the pub colin and shayna first kissed. however colin didn't tell that to lila. he just wanted to remember something about shayna and he sure didn't want to hurt lila's feelings.

"how did your China proposal go? you slept at all last night?" lila asked, sounding concerned.
"i did. but it was a mere three hours."
"then we better get you home early," lila suggested.
"nah. it's alright. not when i'm enjoying myself for once."
"that's good to hear," lila said, thinking this would go somwhere tonight. colin forced a smile and then focused on his drink. he didn't really want to lead lila on but it just happened.

"let's go somewhere nice for dinner," colin suggested the pulled her towards the car.

"thanks for bringing me here today," shayna said as they sat at the edge of the breakwater to watch the sun slowly set until it disappeared from the horizon.
"you're welcome. it's nice to see you smile again," timothy commented, brushing the hair that fell onto her face and tucked it behind her ear. shayna smiled, timothy was indeed caring and always doting on her. why couldn't she see it? was she too clouded with colin that caused her to miss out on someone who acutally cares to every detail.

"you care too much," shayna said.
"is that bad?" timothy asked, placing his arm on her shoulder. this time she didn't push it away.
"not really," she smiled and leant on his shoulder.
"am i dreaming?" timothy asked as he pinched himself.
"why are you doing that for?" shayna asked as she lifted her head up from his shoulder.
"nothing. i'm just glad you're here with me," timothy said, gently pinching her nose. shyana laughed and then the most unexpected thing happened, timothy leant towards her, pulling her close. she wondered why she didn't flinch. she closed her eyes and the most amazing kiss happened. this time it was not with colin but with timothy. his lips were soft and he didn't force it. it was just right.

"I had a lovely night," lila said as they pulled up at her place.
"me too. we should hang out more often," colin said, "you want me to send you up?"
"it's alright. you need to get back to rest anyway. you look really tired."
"i guess i do. well, see ya," colin said but lila didn't open the door. she just pulled his close and kissed him on the lips. he wasn't expecting that but he did kiss her back.
"goodnight," lila said, after they parted.

what just happened?! colin asked himself.

***
meanwhile, timothy and shayna also pulled up at their apartment. they didn't speak much after the kiss and shayna wanted to head back home to rest. they walked up the stairs together. they were both quiet because they both didn't know what to say to each other. that kiss was too abrupt. shayna hadn't even had the chance to talk to colin and she had kissed timothy.

she thought if she would be happier with timothy than with colin. colin sure did upset her so many times that she hardly want to think about when they get attached and maybe he might hurt her more by rebounding again like he did with megan. timothy was different. he said he didn't have a girlfriend since Cecila but she didn't know for sure but he sure did give her more of that sense of security she wanted.

they finally reached her doorstep. they faced each other and stood there silent for awhile.
"well, i had a great time tonight. better than the last actually," timothy finally said.
"both are equally good," shayna replied.
"are you still going to london with me?" timothy asked.
"i should be."
"that's good to hear. goodnight shay. i'll see you tomorrow," timothy said.
"yeah sure."
timothy then tilted up her chin and leant forward to give her a kiss. she hesistated and instead gave him a peck on the cheek before disappearing into her house. colin or timothy? colin or timothy?

she quickly messaged colin before she changed her mind.
"are you moving on with your life? are you going out with another girl that i should know about?"

***
colin read her message. he didn't know how to reply. he did go out with lila but he didn't know it would turn out like that. he couldn't believe they kissed and on the first date!

"shayna, aren't you moving on too?" he replied, not answering her question at all.
"i don't know colin. you think i should?" she replied.
colin knew this rehtorical question messages couldn't go on and he was too tired to think about it anymore.
"i'm tired shayna. let's talk about it another day." he placed his phone on the table and went to sleep.

"i can't wait anymore colin. i have to decide now. if you do not reply, i would know what to do." shayna replied but colin didn't check his phone.

"papa, you really think i should take it up?" shayna asked again during their family breakfast. it was time to make her final decision before she handed up her form to miss soong when she went to work.
"of course shayna. it's a great opportunity for you do studying something that you like," Mr. Fong said, passing her some butter and milk.
"but it would be so different without you around," Mrs. Fong commented.
"don't be silly. she'll call home often and come back during the holidays right, Shayna?" Mr. Fong retorted.
"i guess... but you really think i should take it up?"
"honey, how many times you want to ask that? you've asked five times since we sat down for dinner," Mrs. Fong commented.
"sorry. i just wanted to be sure," shayna said, retreating her head back to focus back on her bread.
"shayna... do YOU have reservations?" Mr. Fong asked, realising the reason why she kept asking.

"well.... timothy would be going with me to finish up his masters and... he wants me to stay with his family while i'm there," shayna finally said.
"that's even better. at least we know you are in safe hands," Mrs. Fong said, "go for it. we'll all be behind you."

that was it. Shayna was going to london with timothy.
