1000 words left unspoken

going to court. That was what was planned. Colin was now going crazy with the house arrest that his father placed him in. After he somehow managed to sneak out in the middle of the night to a bar to have a drink and the media spotted him and called him an irresponsible alocholic who would bring down the family business.

"Fuck!" he screamed and tore the newspapers. He was so distraught. Wishing that he would be able to erase everything that has happened. He felt stupid, silly and childish.
"If I could turn back time..." he remininsed.
"Turn back time?" tyler asked, he came to keep his buddy company again.
"oh. nothing. just pissed off again," colin lied and picked up the newspaper pieces on the floor.
"With your PMS runnign high like this everyday, I feel like I'm coming back home to a woman," tyler tried to joke.
"right... start that joke again and I'll profess to the media waiting outside that I've turn gay with my best friend who has been coming here for months to take care of me and we are going to adopt the baby that lila and I had," colin spat angrily.
"OKAY! point taken," tyler said, surrendering to the obviously in a PMS mood friend.

Colin switched on the television and switched through a few news programmes until a familiar face was shown on the screen of a news programme.
"Ty! Look!" Colin screamed.
"What is is my dear wife?" he said sarcastically, thinking it might be another media fuss Colin picked up.
Tyler walked up closer to the screen. It was...
"Shayna," Colin whispered. They were reporting on the wedding preperations that Timothy and Shayna were having in London. Colin's world came crashing down on him again. This time... it was much worse. His beloved was soon going to me Mrs. Timothy Leong in a months' time.

Tyler tried to comfort his friend, "Colin... maybe.."
But it was too late. Colin threw a pillow towards the television and slammed his room door.

Shayna was going to graduate... AND get married soon. Things were going so well for her. She was on her way to graduating with honors, a great husband, a loving family, a grand wedding in London plus Timothy's parents started to adapt to her.

Today was her fitting session. She looked at herself in the full length mirror. She looked gorgeous. Vera Wang from top to bottom. A diamond tiara, pearls adorned her neck and she had diamond earrings, bracelet and flawless makeup. It was so surreal that Shayna could not believe that it was her she was looking at.

"Are you alright?" Timothy asked . He stepped onto the pedestal and slipped his arms around Shayna's waist. "You look perfect."
Shayna woke up from her daze and gave Timothy a faint smile. "I guess this would do."
"Are you sure? You don't seem happy. The most important thing is that you are happy. We don't need a grand wedding if you don't want one," he whispered. "Just say it and everything will be done just the way that will make you smile."

Shayna turned around and looked into Timothy's eyes. Indeed he wasn't the man she had given her heart fully to in the first place but he was so patient, loving and gentle with her. Why was she still so hesistant of marrying this perfect one and make her surreal world a reality?
Shayna squeezed Timothy's hand and placed her other hand on his cheek. "This is what I want," she said, smiling.
"I'm glad to hear that. When I see you smile, everything else doesn't matter anymore. I love you," Timothy said.
How can I be foolish enough to give him up? Shayna thought to herself. "I love you too," she finally said.
"We can take some sample photographs now," the wedding planner said to the couple as they happily went their way.

Colin just stared at the pictures of Shayna. Her smile, her eyes... their embrace, their kisses. Why was he still madly thinking about her? He was in deep shit with lila and still his heart and mind could not concentrate on anything else except Shayna.

"Why are you fucking thinking about her? She obviously doesn't care about you anymore. She's marrying a bastard, a jerk! Fuck her!" Colin screamed. He threw the photos into the dustbin and switched on his console game. It was his escape. To play his favourite Playstation game, Final Fantasy.

He was indulging in the fights, the pretty lead characters and since he had nothing else to do during house arrest, he became an expert in the game. Occassionally, stopping to watch snippets of video of the cute leading lady of the game. However, the video he had to see was on a song.. that reminded him of Shayna all over again. The lead character was singing this to remember her lovre who disappeared.

1000 Words - Jade (Final Fantasy X2)
Believe with me
Even if we are torn apart
Our feelings with unite us
That is what this song is about

I know that your hiding things
Using gentle words to shelter me
Your words were like a dream
But dreams could never fool me
Not that easily

I acted so distant then
Didn't say goodbye before you left
But I was listening
You fight your battles far from me
Far too easily

"Save your tears cause I'll come back"
I could hear that you whispered as you walked through that door
But still I swore
To hide the pain, when I turn back the pages
Shouting might have been the answer
What if I cried my eyes out and begged you not to part
But now I'm not afraid to say what's in my heart

Cause a thousand words
Call out through the ages
They'll fly to you
Even though I can't see
I know they are reaching you, suspended on silver wings

Oh a thousand words
A thousand embraces
Will cradle you
Making all of your weary days seem far away
They'll hold you forever

"Shayna. I love you. Please don't make the worst mistake of your life. We belong together." Colin whispered as he switched off his console game. And started to cry... like a real man would.

Colin was getting his fair share of bad publicity but on the other hand, Timothy and Shayna was bombarded by the media because of their flashy wedding that was to happen. Timothy's parents knew people rich and famous from all walks to life. Rumors had it that famous singers, stars and celebrities from all over the world were to be flown in. Everyone in the media wanted to have exclusive interviews with the rich and famous couple. Finally, Timothy and Shayna decided, with the assistance of Timothy's parents, to have a press conference for their wedding, so everyone would have an equal chance to a story.

She didn't expect herself to be in this position. To be bombarded by questions about their personal lives and their wedding plans. Most of them asked typical questions like who was in the guest list, where and what time the wedding is to be held and how much it cost. However, one question stuck out from the rest...

"Shayna, what is one quality that would make you change your mind about the wedding?" That got her thinking. Timothy looked at her and smiled sweetly, "Just tell her honestly," he encouraged. Shayna bit her lip and finally leant close to the mike and spoke.

"This is a very interesting question. Though everything has been meticulously planned and organised. Everyone would expect me to say that I would go through the wedding no matter what. But I guess the one thing I hate, and might lead to drastic actions, would be people who lie to me - which I believe Timothy is not because he has been supportive and honest about himself."

Everyone murmured amongst themselves but Shayna didn't care. That was from her heart. Colin had lied to her too many times and she knew this was different with Timothy. She smiled and was contented with her answer. She then looked at Timothy again who gripped her hand and gave her a smile.

But it was different... was he uptight?
