First Kiss Together

shayna's day didn't really turn out good. her hands-on session with the children turned out to be rather nightmarish for her. the children were wonderful to have around but the guidance she was under was a little questionable. Miss Soong was a rather bad instructor. She made shayna do the method she was doing instead of the method that shayna thought was best for the children. in the end, some children didn't enjoy themselves as much as they should. some even threw tantrums and one even had to be sent back to her ward because she had fruits she was allergic to. shayna didn't like it at all. she was wondering how in the world Miss Soong got to be head of department.

so after work she decided to pop down alyssa's shop to see if she wanted to hang out and try to lift her spirits. when alyssa saw shayna, she immediately smiled and ran to hug her.
'hey! i tried calling you yesterday about the party but you never picked up! i wanna know all about it... colin's sexy smile, his family... his club.... everything!' alyssa said, sounding vrey interested.
'it ended it tradgey lyss. i rather not talk about it. i dun think i can stand seeing colin again or even go to a party again!'
'oh no... then tonight...' alyssa stopped herself.
'tonight what?'
'well. there is this party going on and i have exclusive tickets. i thought of asking you to go with me but since you have such a bad experience with colin....'
'oh don't be silly lyss! i'd love to go with you. it'll be a nice change. and besides, i can approve of your prospective boyfriend... if you find one there," shayna commented.
'oh thanks shayna. you're a great friend. wait up while i close up.'
'yeah sure.'

shayna sat down at a bench and waited for alyssa. maybe this party was gonna take away the problems she's having at work and with her semi romance life. colin's not gonna be there anyway, so it's safe to go and enjoy herself. besides, she needs to spend more time with her best friend instead of someone who has a girlfriend and tries to be all nice and friendly to her. yeah, it's PARTY time!

when shayna got there, the lights were all dimmed and everyone was literally on the dance floor enjoying themselves. she took a look at alyssa who was beaming from ear to ear, scouting the dance floor for her prospectives. shayna pulled alyssa down tot he bar and ordered for both of them drinks. everything on the menu was alcoholic, so shayna chose the one with the least.

'come on let's go dance' alyssa suggested.
'with each other? then people would think we're lesbians'
'what? no way. we are here to enjoy ourselves right? so let's grab a few more drinks, and dance!' alyssa suggested, holding shayna by the hand and passing her another drink.
after a few rounds, shayna finally went into routine mode of dancing, drinking, talking then drinking then dancing then mingling... she couldn't count the amount of alcohol she took. maybe it was nearly two shots... and she started getting a little too high...

meanwhile

'awesome party!' tyler commented, as the two guys came into the room filled with people dancing and drinking. colin didn't really like the scene very much. but before he could comment, tyler dragged him to the bar and ordered shots of vodka.
'are you serious ty? what if we both get drunk?'
'don't worry. we're good drinkers right? come on after these few drinks, we'll just go groovey baby!' tyler commented, obviously he has made himself part of this party already in less than a few minutes of entering into the place.
'ty, just make sure we head out of this place by two alright?' colin reminded him.
'yeah yeah i know. stop being such a wet blanket and enjoy the party.'
colin groaned. somehow he wished he had some sane company. maybe it would take all the drunk people and booming music away from him. maybe shayna.....

wait. why was he thinking about her now? he should be relaxing and taking a break from anything shayna or megan. colin gulped down another two shots. soon enough, colin had eight shots and was nearly going tipsy. colin turned to face the dancnig crowd. he didn't wanna stand up to join them because the thumping music was hurting his brain. tyler was no where to be seen and colin was a little worried. suddenly, among the crowd, he saw a very familar face but not a very familar behaviour... he squinted to have a better view and there she was. shayna? dancing? here?

colin forced himself up from the seat and inched his way through the dancing crowd and towards shayna. she was happily dancing away that she didn't notice him at all. finally when he was close enough, he grabbed onto her hand and pulled her out of the disco.

shayna didn't like the person tugging on her hand like that. it was painful. 'hey! who are you what are you trying to... oh my god. it's you.'
'yes it's... me. what are you doing here?' colin asked, trying to remain as sober as possible.
'enjoying myself. this is a party... is it not?'
'but it's a disco. and you... drank too much.' colin commented.
'so did you. you reek of vodka!' shayna commented, hicupping between each sentence.
'my friend brought me here.' colin remarked.
'so did my friend. stop comparing. i'd always win.' shayna complained as she staggered over to a quiet spot to sit down. colin followed and slumped down beside her. they had a quiet moment without saying anything to each other. well, they were both drunk and needed time to recollect their thoughts.

'look. pretty stars' shayna said, poitning to the sky with a very tipsy hand. colin laughed a drunkered laugh.
'yeah but they are not as pretty as you.' shayna stopped and smiled at him with a uzzy smile. 'you think?'
'of course. you know i like you.'
'but you have a girlfriend...' shayna said, pushing colin away from her.
'i know but i realise i like you so much more.' colin said with gurgling from his drunk laughter.
'liar. you always make me upset.' shayna said, her mind was a little disoriented by this time.
colin looked at shayna with his half opened eyes and finally did the thing he had always wanted to do. he pulled her close and kissed her. her lips tasted a little alcoholic but it was still smooth and warm. shayna was a little shock at first but soon she relaxed and kissed him back.

well, let's just say that they kissed for a very very long time. :)
