You're Right

"what the hell do you think you are doing?!" tyler said, almost choking on his coffee when colin told him everything about lila, "you know you'd be the death of me!"
"that's why i'm in a fix now!" colin said, burying his head into his hands. he felt so humiliated and regretful. never once did he sleep with someone and feel so bad.
"what made you think some otehr girl could replace shayna like that? you told me you loved shayna. now i'm beginning to believe alyssa," tyler said, shaking his head.
"ty, i DO love shayna! that's why i mistook lila as shayna when i slept with her. i was drunk! what was i supposed to think straight?"
"you should have known better colin. the reason why i'm having lunch with you is because i still regard you as my friend," tyler said.
"i know..."
"... and if you really do regard me as YOUR friend, you would wake up and prove to us and especially shayna that you truly love her."

colin took a bit out of his burger and then plaed it back on the plate. he lost his appetite just thinking about last night.
"it's not fair, tyler. why can shayna just pick timothy over me?! why is she given the liberty to have a boyfriend when she is suppose to be involved with me and i can't?!"
"cos you took her as your rebound girl after megan remember?" tyler replied without any hesistation, "you were never single in your entire life. shayna deserves someone who would take her up for real and not for rebound purposes."
"i don't take her as rebound! you know we were not together right after i broke up!" colin tried to deny.
"but you were with shayna when you were STILL with megan remember?"
colin felt terrible. he had always thought that women were attracted to him and he just didn't think of their feelings. he was the jerk.
"...now don't try to deny..." tyler said.
"you're right." colin admitted.
"did i hear right? you said i was right for once?" tyler said, amazed.
"yeah. maybe i should just admit that shayna is too good for me."

there was a knock on her door. she pulled out the clothes from her bag, not knowing what to wear. timothy's mother was a woman of taste and culture. shayna HAD to wear something nice. dinner was about three hours away and she didn't really feel good about just wearing her usual jeans and tee to dinner.

"come in!" she said, still flustered.
"sweetie?" timothy called as he opened the door.
"oh hey. sorry. i am kinda busy right now."
"i can see that. why is everything thrown around the room?" timothy asked as he picked up some of shayna's clothes.
"it's cos... i don't really have anything to wear for dinner tonight," shayna admitted, she felt so embarrassed.
"oh darling. you look just fine in those jeans and shirt," timothy replied, hugging her to comfort her.
"but you know your mother. she's so refined and poised... i'm sure she expects me to wear something more than just jeans and shirt."

timothy smiled and then answered, "alright. i'll take you out to town. maybe we can see something that you might like to wear for dinner tonight."
"right. i don't have much money with me you know," shayna said, going back to search for something to wear.
"it's on me. besides, it's my mother whom you wanna please and i should help since i caused your worry," timothy said, kissing her.
"ok. i'll pick something budget."
"no. just go with your heart. anything is worth it for my precious girlfriend," timothy said.

they walked down the streets of london and timothy showed her the sights and sounds. they walked through a park where they saw squirrels and fed pigeons. they took pictures with statues and even in front of the stores. shayna almost forgotten they came to town to get her something to wear.

"hey, it's getting late. let's take you to the stores," timothy said, realising that they had just spent two hours sightseeing and fooling around.
"oh right. where are we heading to?" shayna asked as timothy ushered her back into the limo.
"trust me. i know just the place where you can get something gorgeous and my mother will definetly like it."

the limo cruised down the streets of london as timothy pointed out to shayna more famous buildings and museums, promising that they would visit them soon.
"we are going to visit the university tomorrow right?" shayna said.
"of course. besides, i need to get some books from there too."
"i'm so excited to start studying again. although i might think my studying genes are getting a little rusty," shayna smiled.
"don't worry. we could always study together. you'll like it here in london. everything's going to be alright," timothy commented before kissing her again. shayna never felt so pampered with kisses before.

finally they arrived at a junction and the driver opened the door. shayna got out and gasped. they were at Harrods.
"what? here?" shayna gasped.
"yeah. go on up," timothy said, taking hold of her hand and leading her in.
they browsed through a few rows of dresses and shayna laid her eyes on this pale green silk dress with beautiful embroidery.
"this is beautiful," shayna said to timothy, holding out the dress as he touched the dress.
"hmm.. not bad. what about this one?" timothy asked, pulling out a midnight blue strappy dress. it was a little plain but still elegant.
"i'm not sure timmy. maybe we'll look at something else. both these dresses are so expensive," shayna commented in a whisper as the staff were right behind them.
"oh honey. i told you, whatever the price, i'm paying. because i love you," he said with a big grin on his face. there was that dreaded three words again. shayna prayed he'd stop using that or she would always feel guilty about not being able to say it back to him. shayna forced a smile and continued browsing.

"this is one of our latest designs," one of the salesgirl said, bringing out a white dress that had beautiful embroidery at the skirt area... more beautiful than the one that shayna picked a moment ago. it was a tube dress that flowed down right to her knees.
"just flown in today. a very beautiful silk dress and it would look perfect on your body," the salesgirl continued to explain.
"try it on," timoty urged, "it's beautiful."
shayna hesitated for awhile but the salesgirl had placed the beautiful gown in her hands. she could feel the soft silk just by gently stroking it. she walked intot he changing room and slipped it on. the size was just perfect and she looked so gorgeous. she couldn't even recognise the girl she was looking at in the mirror.

when she came out to show timothy, she noticed his jaw dropped to the ground. he was stunned for a while and she blushed.
"say something," she urged, "do i look bad?"
timothy still looked at her with his stunned face. "no... no! you look so beautiful i could just marry you right here right now!"
shayna shook her head and laughed. timothy scanned his beautiful girlfriend again.
"we'll take it!" he said as he passed the salesgirl his credit card. shayna checked the price. it was over 1000 pounds!
"timmy! it's way to expensive!" shayna said, worried.
"relax. you look beautiful. it's all that matters." timothy said, hugging her from the back.
shayna looked at herself in the mirror with timothy hugging her. they looked so good as a couple. she wondered why she could never say 'i love you' to him.

"you're right," she said, smiling back before giving his a kiss.
